Default Horn Specs

I am thinking about replacing the horn on my 2011 Laramie and saw a PIAA Horn. Does anyone know the specs as to how loud the stock horn is so that I can compare. I think that I want just to replace the stock horn to keep things simple. I would like the new horn to make lots of noise to really get the attention of those kids with their loud stereo's etc.

^^ +1 agreeing with mikey 100% on this one. Ive got a 2nd gen ram my self but my dad has a 2011 2500 with the horn blasters shocker classic 228vx kit on it that we bought him for his birthday. Just under $500 bucks and Only took a couple hours to install and snug everything up. Loud as hell, surely grabs anyone and everyone around you's attention, no way loud stereos will drown it out. Get a lotta laughs out of it scaring the sh*t out of people too

Where did you install the compressor? I really want one, but I don't want to lose space in the bed. That leaves me with either the little "constant air electric one", or one of the small .5 gallon (i think) tanks, which I've heard you could bolt to the frame.?.

I take that back! they updated their site. they use to only sell kits for $1000 on up. I'm not even sure where I got mine from, but it was like $380? but well worth it driving in traffic around here.

MDRAM, can you get some pictures up when you get a chance if possible? I'm still searching for one and have been eyeballing the hornblasters...just a big chunk of $$. I have other things I want to accomplish first. Hopefully w/in a month or two I can get one

Plus the videos on hornblasters are great to watch when you get time!

The stock type replacements that I'm finding are saying 105-115 db, which seems reasonable.
