Question Fording question.

can i ford in water that comes up past the bottom of my doors and if so how much deeper in water can i be before i have to start worrying about damaging something? (i.e. electrical or getting water in the air intake)

There's bound to be some sort of wiring running across the floor pan. If you get the carpets wet, this may be affected.
In any case, I'd keep your truck out of salt water as it is far more damaging to electrics.

ive had mine deep enough where water actually was leaking in through the doors, and flowing up over the headlights from the bumper making a wave. i was lucky my air filter was still dry. everything has worked just fine

I would also check on the venting of the differentials and the tranny.

On my 2005 Jeep they had tubes going onto the fenders for venting increasing the fording depth. The max speed for the Jeep was 5 mph when fording.
