Default MyGig 430 - Is there a way to delete single song?

I'd love to find a way to delete individual songs from the hard drive to eliminate crappy ones from some albums as they play. Is there a way to delete individual files?

Thanks,
Rob

I've been trying to do the same thing also, the only option is to delete everything, which would be the dumbest thing in the world. Can't believe they don't have that option, at least i couldnt find it.

Bummer. Hopefully someone else knows the secret to help us both out.

You know, when I was shopping for my truck I thought it was a super idea to have a 30GB hard drive for digital audio files. But after using the system it is so painful and difficult to make use of that I never use it. What a waste. In addition to the seeming lack of ability to delete individual files I also find it very hard to search for artists or songs or to navigate around. Not to mention the inability to create a playlist from the head unit. Did they not do any usability testing before designing this thing??

Yes you can individually delete songs. Press the My Files button, then Delete Music Files from HDD. Select the folder and or songs you want to delete by placing the red checkmark beside them. Just tried it, no issues, very easy. If I remember correctly, older versions delete under the Manage Playlists section.

The radio is pretty new, truck built early Dec.

2012 RBZ
Application: 33.00.41
Audio CPU: 092611
Gracenotes: D9F
System: 0207

The window sticker now says 40 GB HDD but it still shows the same 28 GB free that my older RBZ had. But this one has the voice commands and Bluetooth streaming. The new radios are also now VIN locked.

Thank you for the detailed info. I checked mine though and it isn't the same as yours. Must be differences between the 2010 and the 2012 models of RBZ. I only have options to delete all music files under My Files.

Thanks,
Rob

Speaking of differences, is there any way to find out if there is a software update for my radio so that perhaps I can update to a newer version that might have new features?

Thanks,
Rob

IF there is an update it will be on here...

I have a 2011 and I have the ability to delete individual files. Must be a 2010 thing. I will agree tho that dodge must talk to Harmon Kardon and get them to fix their deck! Harmon I think is screwing us over, to say its a 30GB and then only have 10GB to use? I realize that you need space for your updates and system files. but they now have SD cards that are 64GB and micro SDs of 32! Im sure you could incorporate flash memory for all your system files and give the users actual space!

Bluetooth streaming is overrated, You will get very poor quality and speeds. Its a good idea, but trying to send music over a system that doesn't have the speed necessary...Just stay with using a flash drive or direct memory. BTW those utilities are available in the 2011, because I have voice command and bluetooth as well. Like stated about I don't use bluetooth for streaming, just hands free. The voice command is nice tho, for example GPS. I can input a new location without stopping via the voice command. One thing that it lacks tho is the voice command for media files. To be able to say..."play-artist-all" or something like that. Unless I have it and am doing it wrong, but I don't seem to have that option.

I have the 30 gig hrd drive in my radio and it has almost 600 tunes stored in it, how many songs do you need to load anyway.
