What are you guys using for spark plugs?
Another thing. The debate over copper and platinum, iridium. the COPPER is the center core. Not the electrode. The standard copper CORE plug has a cheap, base electrode. The platinum's have a COPPER core with a platinum electrode. same with Iridium. Its the electrode that is longer wearing due to metals that withstand the spark better. The Autolites I used are a COPPER CORE like the factory plugs with a Iridium electrode. I have also owned several vehicles with 100,000 life spark plugs. I've never had a seize issue. I'm sure it happens. I don't think its too common. There being changed by the 1000s daily I bet.

Late vintage Ford Triton motors are famous for it. You'll see this ocasionaly on GM V-6s, Toyota inline 4s, Hyundais, and Saturns. In cars other than Ford trucks, I've personnaly witnessed 8 or so over the last five years. Saw one 2.0 Mopar as well.

Been doin some research...If you go on Rockauto.com, they list a Autolite XP5325 for an 09 Ram hemi. A 04 Nissan 350Z uses the same plug, only the plug options for the Nissan are far greater. Does it stand to reason any plug for that Nissan would workin our Rams? thanks

Plugs are pretty standard acorss the board and can fit many different engine platforms. The thread pitch/taper, the depth it goes into the cylinder head, and the heat range are all that need to match for cross-over applications. Generally the Gap is preset to larger dispalcement engine's as V8's but is always a good idea to check for proper gap because of this. Also, because not all lerger diplacements have the same reccomended plug gaps.
I think what the question is that the Nissan shows many suitble plugs. Does this mean that they will also work in a Hemi. If thats the question . Maybe. Chart shows the XP5325s. Not others like the Nissan does. Why do you want to know?
I'me sure he wants to make sure plugs listed for a Nissan aren't strictly for a Nissan. One set of plugs can potentially be installed into 20 different style cars if they utilize the same requirements.
I dont care about the same plug fitting, I realize that dont matter. We have 9 spark plugs listed for the Ram, 16 for the Nissan. I am interested in the Bosch plugs as there is a $3-$4 a plug rebate, brings the plugs down to $1 or $2.
