Power loss?!!
I have a 09 1500 5.7 hemi with a k&n intake and superchips cortex programer, also im pushing a 6in lift and 35s. The truck should be able to break those tires loose but for some reason i cant seem to do it. I take the traction controll off but when i mash the gas there is a hesitation and nothing just a slower get up. What could i do to fix this
4.55 rear end ? i don't know. i have 3.55 and mine has that hesitation to. maybe its all the computer programming or something. or lack of power at idle. somebody I'm sure will have a better answer then this one lol
has it ever been able to break those tires free, and now it cant do it anymore ... as in you loest power as your subject states? or is just that you just feel it should be able to break the tires free and it cant?
Yeah i wasn't able to burn out in the summer with my 35s and 3.55 gears. But now i have 4.56 and thats a different story
just saying, now you might have to spend some moulah to spend some more moulah on tires

You can either crawl under your truck and look on your diff, i know i seen mine on the front one if yours is 4x4, it's on a lil tag somewhere. Or go to your dealership and ask for a build sheet they should be able to print one off for you on the spot, that's what i did to unfortunately figure out I had 3.55's. Probably on the dodge website somewhere also but not sure where, someone else might have the link.

Well it's hard to say, if your always running 35's i would suggest 4.56, i always say go big or go home. But if you don't want to go all the way 4.10 would probably good for you. The reason i went with 4.56 i wanted something much better for towing my camper, and it did help quite a bit. In the winter i run stock size tires and at 100 km/h (60mph) the engine revs at 2000 rpm's, just to give you an idea, which isn't that bad for myself. It didn't really affect my gas mileage much, i actually think it improved in some situations but i don't really pay attention all the time, but with 35's i think it'll increase your mileage since the truck doesn't shift as often and the mds kicks in more often. Another thing is the 3.55 is an open diff, meaning there's always that one stupid tire spinning, with 4.56 you can get a locker, both tires will spin evenly. Be ready to spend 2000-4000 depending where you get it done. The PowerWagon has 4.56 in it.
