2009 Dodge Ram 1500 ESP/BAS, Airbag Light, Automatic Locks...
Before I get hammered for not searching the forums, I have searched and found one person with the exact same issue (Jiffer), but he never reported a final outcome--I have sent him an e-mail, but since his post was in 2009, I'm not sure if he is still actively participating.
I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. Yesterday my ESP/BAS light came on, in addition to that light, the airbag light came on, the traction control light came on, the exterior temperature gauge is off by 20 degrees, the HVAC blower will not come on, and the electric locks--including using the keyfob, won't work. As these all came on at once I am hoping this all is due to one item since they all came at once.
I have 65,000 miles so will be relying on an extended warranty/service contract to hopefully cover most of the repairs. From reading many of the older posts, it seems like many of the dealerships will replace something or another, not fixing the problem and requiring another visit. I would like to make sure that this is a one-time fix the issue rather than back and forth and extra money out of my pocket.
Thanks.

I could find no service bulletin in relation to the problems you have described. If you have a service contract and plan on taking your truck to the dealer I would recommend making sure your repair order lists all symptoms as you have described them to the dealer. While it is always frustrating if the vehicle needs to be returned for the same problem because it was not resolved the first time, at least you will have proof of your original complaint and the service contract provider should waive the payment of another deductible. If any repair facility tries to charge you for another service contract deductible for a re-occurring issue I suggest calling your service contract provider directly using the number listed on your original service contract application or the plan provisions you should of received from the contract company after the sale.
My outside temp reading was 15 degrees off, the dealer performed Rapid Response 09-010 related to washer sensor weeping. I believed the sensor was replaced and they said the temp difference was fixed by replacing the sensor. Sounds like the washer fluid was getting into the wiring harness going to the TIPM and messing things up. Hope that helps.

Here is the RRT they performed on your vehicle. Perhaps it could help with Jeffro's issue as well.
Customer Satisfaction Notification J06
Windshield Washer Fluid Level Sensor
Effective immediately, all repairs on involved vehicles are to be performed
according to this notification. Rapid Response Transmittal (RRT) #09-010 and
(TSB) #08-008-09 are no longer applicable for vehicles involved in this
notification. Those vehicles that have already had this repair performed, as
determined by our warranty records, have been excluded from this notification.
2009 (DS) Dodge Ram 1500 Truck
NOTE: This notification applies only to the above vehicles built at Warren Truck
Assembly Plant (“S” in the 11th VIN position) built through December 8, 2008
(MDH 120822) or St Louis North Assembly Plant (“J” in the 11th VIN Position)
built through December 12, 2008 (MDH 121212).).
The windshield washer fluid level sensor on about 22,170 of the above vehicles
may leak allowing washer fluid to wick through the wiring harness to the ambient
temperature sensor. This can damage the ambient temperature sensor and cause
illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or may result in a
non-functional low washer fluid warning lamp.
I just washed my truck today and then shut it off to vacuum the floors then restarted it and now I have the exact same issues please let me know when you figure out what the problem is because I have no warranty on my truck. Thanks

Water is definitely getting into the wiring somewhere on your vehicle. The outside temp sensor is the first place to look. I believe the outside temp sensor and washer pump that was replaced on my truck are wired into the TIPM. This is the fusebox/control unit in the engine bay. It controls power to many different components as well as controlling the lock/unlock,etc.
I let my truck sit for a few days and drove my car. Today I checked it out and everything is working fine except when you go to start it you use to just hit the starter and it would hold the starter till it started now it does not do that. I know I disconected the battery is there a setting that needs to be reset? Thanks
