Cargo Lights Tap?!?
Step 24: Snake cable in from the engine compartment into the footwell.
Step 25: Pull off the inside cover from the drivers a pillar to reveal wire loom.
Step 26: Pull off the side cover from the dash. Snake cable up to driver side a pillar. (You may see two connectors behind the panel removed in this step. They are for the trailer brake controller, do not use them in steps 27-36)
Step 27: Unhook the connectors on the wire loom revealed in step 25 (NOT THE ONES IN 26).
Tap the newly installed black wire into the black and brown cable in the above loom.
Tap the newly installed yellow wire into the yellow cable in the above loom.
Pretty simple from there.

But I will say I'm not a fan of the newer Chrysler directions, I guess its cheaper to use pictures instead of 5 different languages, but it kind of reminds me of being in kindergarten.
WOW, I just looked at the directions on wiring those lights, and I got lost. I have done a lot of wiring and feel real confident doing it, but those directions pretty much suck. And for the price of labor for putting those lights in, I could do something like that for 1/4 of the price and a 12 pack. I ran led under body lights on my truck that only turn on when the doors open and when you lock and unlock the doors. And I just used a test light to find the wire, then just T tapped into it, then ran my main power from the battery with an inline fuse. I am looking at putting the lights in my bed with the rambox system and I know I can get the leds way cheaper than $250. I just think that's a lot for those little lights.
Looked pretty simple to me, not sure why anyone would be looking for connectors under the side panel on the dash, the pictures clearly show the connectors under the pillar trim above the dash.

Seems pretty complicated,
I have mine hooked up to the cargo light, but i found that brown wire running through the rear seat (driver's side) floor, just under that plastic molding where you would step on to climb in the truck (right under the speaker if the door is closed sort of speak) If you pop that off you should see a harness of wires running through there and the brown one i think is for the cargo light, that's where i tapped mine from, them from there i ran the wire under the carpet right to the cargo (under the rear seat) and if you look under your truck theres an existing hole with a plastic cap, i drilled a hole just so i could run the wire through it and under the truck to the back box. If you want i can post pictures to help you out a lil.
Might be a lil less complicated than mopar's picture instructions.

Well I've pulled the pillar before and the connectors aren't there...I tried already. and FYI... if you pull off the side panel there are two connectors there. Look similar the wires just didn't match up so that's why I asked my original question. Either way if this snow stops I am going to just use interpunX's way most likely.
Since you were asking why to pull the pillar trim off I ASSumed you didnt have it off. Has to be a reason to remove it, the pillar trim doesnt need to come off to take the dash side panel off and the connectors are pictured above the dash.
Its always possible the directions are just wrong, happens.
"I've pulled that panel off before but couldn't find any wiring pins that matched that. I had two plugs in there and the colors did not match up for some reason. Why does it show in 25 to remove the panel along the windshield w/ a wire running up?"

Thanks.
I am a little abrasive and often get ignored. I am pretty sure that loom is there though, it is what carries the power up to your dome light and CHMSL IIRC. As I stated earlier the connectors you found were for the trailer brake controller.
