Not my truck, but a 3rd Gen member's who was nice enough to do a DIY. Although I know quite a few guys who have done it.
I used it on my hood scoop when I cut the hood and cut the front to make it functional. I may add it to the rest of the grill to match, but it's kinda one of those back burner things...

About five bucks, more durable than any plastic crap and if you do hit something hard enough to f*ck it up, it's five bucks again!!! I used it when I cut out my scoop to make it functional and many have used it to replace their entire grill. It looks real good IMO. Plus, you can paint it any color you want or leave it unpainted (although I'd at least hit it with a couple of coats of clear, the sun can bleach the aluminum to a milky white left untreated...

i dunno, i think these kind of mods makes a guys truck unique. i probably need to do this or something like it. this kind of caught on in alabama over the last couple of years and when i see a truck with this come into the dealership i notice a lot less bugs & crap stuck to the radiator. we get these love bugs a couple of times a year and they swarm in the hundreds of millions. most people have to put a screen over their grills or they choke off the radiator so bad you overheat but with this you probably wouldn't need to.Originally Posted by awful knawful

I got my grille at a GM body shop. $150 new. They ordered it as though they were doing a repair on it so I got it at their cost. Yea I know. It's nice to know ppl.
I appreciate all of the help everyone. I found the honeycomb inserts new on ebay for $168 shipped. KDDSram or black sedan, if you could part with them, send me a PM and let me know how much. And I appreciate it RAMULAK.

Did you receive my PM? For some reason I'm starting to think this site doesn't ever or allow my phone application to send PM's to other members.Originally Posted by NCBigHorn
