Default Air bags on lifted applications

So i've been looking into 4" lifts for my '12 1500 and looks like most lifts also "level" which is fine, but when i tow something i don't want to look rediculous with my rear sagging down so there comes the idea for air bags but all i find is for stock applications. Does anybody have or know where to get an air bag kit for lifted applications? Thanks

you would have to call firestone or airlift.

i would reccomend going with something like timbren SES though, which is a rubber spring which hooks to the bump stop and after a certain amount of compression adds load capacity, much like a medium duty/heavy duty truck does. I have had airbags for about 2 years in my truck, and if i had know these were out there 2 years ago i would have bought them instead.

I think the airbags would work on your truck with a lift anyways. I have a procomp 6" lift and have airbags. You still have the original springs, and your springs sit on a plate that is 4" higher but technically the length inside your spring is probably still the same. I also have those extended bump stops to stop sag from airlift, they basically sit on the plate when unloaded so my truck is really rough now there's almost no play in the suspension. But that's what i wanted anyways.

is that how airlift tells you to set it up? i was looking at timbren and they tell you to leave a 1" gap so there is normal ride until loaded enough to compress 1" of suspension.

i have 2" spacers in my rear springs and the airbags work fine as well.

That's just how they setup, they're not really adjustable, but they do come with another spacer you can add but i didn't even put those on. I got about quarter of an inch of play there before they hit the plate. Theirs still some play they are flexible but it's not like it used to be, it rides like and 3/4 ton now hehehe. Which is totally fine with me i'm not a grandpa with back problems and i want the stiff ride when hauling my quad in the box plus my camper on the hitch. Last year i didn't have the bump stops with just the airbags and it was just too much pressure on the bags. Now i'll be fine.

Maybe the Timbren are differently setup.

I have the 4 inch RCX and was looking into this as well, my spacers have a single bolt through the middle, if you have the same you will need to modify and break warranty on these by drilling a half inch hole in middle for clearance of air line and then drill 3 holes in a triangle around center hole for spacer and holder to re-mount/bolt spacer into the frame. I was gonna call RCX to get an opinion on this.

So how does your lift work, is it a body lift or suspension lift? By the sounds of it your 4 inch of spacer is at the top of the spring? Different setup i guess but a lil odd, must of been a bitch to install that at the top.
