Default Tire fitting question

Hello,

So my truck (2010 ram 1500 4x4) has a 6inch pro comp lift in it right now, going in for a 3 inch body lift tomorrow. total of 9 inchs !

now i have 35x12.50 on 18x9 metal mulisha rims.

want to go bigger... want to know how big. now the question is what can i fit under my truck with the 9 inchs.

38s? 40s? 42s?

12.50? 13.50? 14.50?

Pics would help too

Thanks
Rob!

The problem with bigger tires is the fact that you have an IFS truck. Those cv shafts wont hold up.
Plus, what gearing do you have? You'll be ******* your truck out going to that big of a tire!
The wheels will be your biggest restriction as far as width goes. Going to a taller ride won't allow you to go to a wideer tire. The backspacing and bumper-fender clearance is what will limit that.
I made a STICKY in the 3rd Gen section that'll guide you a little. Hammer has a link I posted as well regarding lifts and tire sizes. 3rd Gen is pretty much identical in size fitment.
