Default Is it possible to put the laramie rear heated seat in a sport

I'm looking to possibly swap out my rear leather 60/40 seats with the Laramie's heated seats. The problem is that I have the Sport trim package and I'm not sure if all the wiring would be there to do the swap.

Has anyone else thought of doing this or seen this done before? Or is it even possible to do without a lot of headaches?

Just get a heated seat kit and install that.

I installed Laramie heated and cooled seats in my 2010 SLT with Sport package, the wiring was all there. Although it cost more than aftermarket heaters, the leather looks great and having ventilated seats is great.

I've thought of going the seat kit rout but I really want the functionality of the laramie seats. I'm always getting hounded about the rear seat being to hot or to cold. I say suck it up but after sitting back there my self, i think it might be a good idea.

I got the seats from a place on ebay, new 2011 takeouts for around $850 shipped (front only). The dash switch cost about $65. Plugged it all in and they work, but the leds on the switches do not light up to tell you high, low, etc. I brought it to the dealer but they could not make them work either. Not really a problem. As a bonus, I got a power passenger seat out of it too. I did not bother with the back since I have an extended cab, and the seat is folded up 99% of the time anyway.

Hey guys I'm new here and seems like a great site, I need some help though, I have a 2009 ram 1500 crew cab which I just bought a week ago. it has the sport package but I wanted the heated/vented seats. so after reading on here how people had luck with the plug and play. I bought a set of 2011 laramie seats. my problem is I dont have the harness to just plug them in. my only plug fits one of the 4 harnesses on the seat but it doesnt do anything. not even power the seat. any suggestions on this? or if I can run a seperate harness. I already installed the factory switches and they light up just dont know where they run to. thankd
