The iPod specific fix also works for HTC android phones amongst others. I installed the patch myself this week (very easy to do) and it fixed my BT. As an added bonus when I went to Sirius channel 1 for 5 mins then hit the channel up button it appears to have reinitialized my satellite radio: I do not have a subscription but every channel is now working. (I have the 430 non nav RBZ radio).

for 2011 vehicles with either of the following radios (RES,REQ,RHB or RBZ) and High Speed CAN BUS system, here's the link for the Uconnect module SW update that is used on TSB # 08-036-11 rev A that Chrysler released to the dealers last year.

and the instructions:
Download it to a thumb drive that has no other files on it. If you have files on it, please delete them and format the drive (to FAT32) just to make sure that it is completely clean.
Turn the radio on, Place the thumb drive in the center console USB connector (on vehicles with the dealer installed unit, it should be in the glove box), press and hold the Uconnect button for about 12 - 15 seconds, you should here "update started". This process should take about 15 - 20 minutes, there will be some beeps during the process. Please listen during the update for any error message that may be said by Uconnect. When the update is completed, the radio screen will go back to a radio display. Now plug in your iPhone or iPod and let it be read by Uconnect, does it start playing after being read?

Well Ratbike1,
You know how it is, Technology changes so fast and if you don't jump in and start somewhere, you can get way behind in a heartbeat. I had and actually still do have the same trouble. Being nearly 52, having a wife,2 young children (11 & 13), full time job, and a couple animals makes it real hard to keep up with things or even have an interest in some of them. 1 1/2 years ago, all I wanted in a phone was to be able to make calls and text when needed. My new job forced me into the "Smart phones" of which I knew nothing about the power of them or felt that I don't need all that.
So I had to start learning, if I wanted to keep my job which is also a completely new field, I had been an automotive electrical tech for about 20 yrs. Due to this job I have also now needed to learn (and use) Active Sync, Google contacts, not to mention Streaming radio stations like Pandora, i heart, Slacker and others.
I have no personal desire to get a Facebook account, but while doing some testing I had to see if Facebook contacts would download properly. So I had to ask my 13 yr old daughter to log onto her account for me, with that "my little girl" look, she says "dad it's about time. In the background my wife is chuckling at the old man. I still haven't set one up, I think it's because I just don't know how to use it or if it would be useful to me. But for work, it's another one of those things.
So the problem I think with the dealers and their techs is that they don't use Uconnect everyday, some may not even have Smart Phones and some may only want to collect a paycheck. Just like anything, if you don't have a desire to learn about something, you won't and you will stay idle while others are moving at a fast pace. At my age, I didn't grow up with computers, 3D movies, music on phones or on thumb drives amongst other things. But in order for me to helpful to my children, homework and projects, I need to at least try to keep up. This can literally be a full time job by itself.
