Never should have left that dealership without a guarantee.
Basically it was like... "ummm sorry we **** alll over you, but see ya later. Oh, and you'll get nothing for your troubles". Free set of tires? Free oil changes for life? Heck I got that for them not putting my oil plug back in tight and it fell out. You should have gotten free oil changes for everyone in your family.
That dealer is just plain unethical and I'd stay far far away from them.
Trading it in? Yeah I'm sure that truck is "In the system" and you have a little star next to your name in the computer now. You'll get crap for it if you go anywhere that they can search the Dodge database.
I'd have someone burn.....oh never mind..............

With all due respect you don't know what you are talking about. I didn't purchase the truck at this dealer, its not the dealers fault the engine failed, and they are only allowed to perform the warranty repairs Chrylser gives them permission to perform so blowing up at the dealer would be a complete waste of time. Oil changes and tires, useless. I'm pursuing this further with Chrysler's CCO (chief customer officer).

Not possible by any meens. They might have mean`t they only replaced "part" of a "camshaft package/kit". New cam, and only just a couple lifters and such is what i gather from that statement.

I don't know how you can blame the dealership in this case at all. As the OP stated it's NOT the dealer where he bought the truck. They are at the mercy of Chrysler for any and all warranty work or they don't get paid (and they don't get paid very well for the work that is ok'd).
They are at a lose/lose situation here and basically from what I've read in this thread have gone above and beyond on the OPs behalf.

You wanna throw rocks at Chrysler over the way the repair has been handled - fine, I'm right with you. But it's not the fault of the dealership who has done the repairs...
