Default Ditch theplastic plug

Thinking about ditching the rear diff cover w/the plastic plug for a Mag Hytec. I have the Dodge 12-9.25 corp diff, with the 5.7L 2WD. If anyone has any experience with this setup, I'd like to know if there were any clearance problems with the sway bars. Everything under the truck is stock.

Heard rumors some DID have clearance issues on the rear. Someone one here actually did IIRC.

I installed on on my 10' 1500 and didn't have any clearance issues.

I just had the driveline service done ( front, rear and transfer case fluid changes ) when I had the pinion seal replaced under warranty. It was $300 at dealer with all mopar synthetic fluids and they actually pulled the diff covers to do it, not siphoned through the fluid plug hole. I looked at a mag-hytec cover but I believe they were about $260 a piece since I was thinking of doing it myself and putting on the cover with a drain plug. Not sure how long keeping the truck but it did not seem worth the $500+ on a 4x4 for the initial cash outlay unless you change it very often for whatever reason. I have seen some Rams around town with them on though.

I installed the mag-hytec on my 2009 1500, no issues, easy to service, looks cool when lifted, Ive also noticed that many have had rear diff issues, at 71k none so -far, maybe that extra quart or so is what it needs?

The rear "mag-hytec" will fit without clearence issues, but the front one they offer wont fit.
