Default 2012 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Express 4x2 5.7l 3.92 - average mileage ?

Im back.

I traded my 09 Ram diesel on a 2011 Nissan Frontier ..what a piece of crap. Having RAMS, 03, 05, 06, 09 I didnt like the Nissan at all once I put it to use.

This is the one I bought, had to give up my 4x4 ... but I didnt use that much anyway. A basic model but back to the Hemi power and plenty of room for the kids (although its not my 06 Mega cab). Ill be border line when towing the travel trailer that I have been trying to sell for the last 18 months which weighs in at about 6k wet. Many will refer to the 10,150 towing capacity ... but the payload is, to my surprise low at about 1650.

All prices, trade and cost of the new one were just about where they should be.

Is the average miles of this particular model accurate 20/14 ?

I ask this because the Nissan wasnt all that great on gas 15-23 ... 23 if I really babied it.

I get 17-18 mpg highway on my 2010 4x4 Hemi 5.7 quad cab with 3.92 gears. More like 10-12 mpg city.

Coolidge- He should do maybe 2-3 MPG better as he is 4X2, I know I lost that going from an 04 4X2 to an 05 4X4.

23 in a Hemi is not going to happen.

Reasonable you can figured 17-18 on average, of course that will vary a little depending on habbits and where you are driving.

There is a post called the official MPG post stuck to this section or the general section. Pages and pages of info.

23mpg IF there is no wind IF you don't exceed 62mph IF there are no hills IF you run 89 octane IF you don't pass anybody IF the moon is full and Venus and Jupiter are in conjunction.

You get the idea.
