Default 2011 ride in the front end

Seems to be that my truck rides worse and worse as the months go on. I have 18,000 miles on my truck and its a 2011 fully loaded sport Crew cab with the ram boxes. The truck does about 95% highway miles. when Im driving around town and hit a bump of some sort it just does not feel the way it did or should for a 50k truck. anyone else think their truck feels abit ****ty in the front end.

Check to see if your vehicle is listed on the tye rod recall.

Sloppy front end can also be your tires wearing unevenly, try rotating your tires or possibly look into a front end alignment and have the linkage looked into at the same tiime.

Question - have you ever driven a truck before or just VW's? I suspect that it rides like a truck and you are used to a car.

Nice pick up there on username, but yes I owned two silverados before this truck. VW are more of a hoppy. I did the recall on the front end. Made an appt. to get the truck check this week.

My last truck was feeling quite a bit looser than new at 32K, it had a bad shock (obviously leaking) and the toe in was off, probably since new since the tires always wore more than I thought they should. Before I traded it in I reset the toe, rotated the tires and it drove a million times better. I'm sure replacing the bad front shock(s) would have helped more but it was still under warranty and I let the dealer know when I traded it.

I'm not sure if it felt that much worse than any other 1500 pickup I ever owned after 2.5 years and 30K miles.

Gtivr6,

I agree with letting the dealer look at it. The front end ride should not be going downhill so soon. Let us know what they say.

Default 2011 ride in the front end

My 09' rode like an old Cadillac after 2-3 yrs. Installed a set of Rancho 5000's and it rides better than the day I picked it up from the dealer! No more bouncing, swaying and motion sickness!! Don't know why they won't put better ones on at the factory. Can't cost that much more.
