Yea, lot of people neglect the shocks. But like I said just about every 1500 pickup I ever owned started getting spongy after a few years, shocks dont last forever. The spongyness I could live with, the wandering from the alignment that was getting annoying

I think people get spoiled on newer car struts and shocks that last 100K, takes a lot more to control a nose heavy pickup truck..

i wonder if you climb under and torque all the bolts to spec, you will clear a lot of the "slop" up. seems to be a common issue. if i had to say there is a weak spot on dodges it would be the front end.

After 28k miles my 2010 feels brand new, I have the new tie rod ends and Firestone Destination LE tires. Those factory goodyears SUCKED on day 1, they didn't corner for ****.

35000 miles and my truck feels great.Ride is very good. Better then any truck I owned in the past. Air psi in the tires and tire wear have a lot to do with ride. I'm not unhappy with the factory Goodyears. Truck drives really good to me. Tires on mine hardly look half worn. Shocks on mine are covered under the factory lifetime service contract I bought to go with the lifetime powertrain warranty. They start to leak or get bouncy I'll more then likely use the service contract for factory replacements.
