Lol Yup went and bought another qt just in case and presto, just a little more did the trick. Thing is..I don't have a drain plug ( rear diff) and there was some type of square block on the bottom ( Magnetic perhaps?). thanks again!

My rear/front diff did not have a drain plug. Just a fill cap on the diff cover. I undid all the bolts except the top two(just loosened them) and pried the cover off slowly and drained it. Cleaned the old gasket off the cover, then inspected the gears, then put a garbage bag over the gears and cleaned that old gasket off, then put it all back together and filled.
