Squeeking Left wheel
After a week of mostly hwy driving my wheels look like ****. I recently was up in Maine and at the local Navy Hobby Shop and had my truck on the lift and pulled the wheels and looked at the brakes and they looked fine as well as the rotors. But the squeak sounds like I'm driving a 1985 Honda CRX still running on original brakes and rotors. So I can't wait to get the slotted/drilled rotors on...
I refuse to beleive that at 34,000km I need new breaks and roters. I don't drive far and it's 98% highway. I don't even tow anything either.
A friend of mine who's good with vehicles is going to swing by pop off the tires and check out the pads and roters for me.
If they need to be changed, I am going to raise a stink. I can understand if it was more milage, or if I tow heavy things or live in a city, but I don't do either of those things.

Like I stated before...I have roughly 34,000 miles on my truck now and they squeak to high hell when creeping to a stop....it's not worth a TENTH OF A SECOND of my time or wasting my breath dealing with the dealer to see if they'll fix them under warranty due to **** poor quality of the brakes. I pulled the calipers off when I was in Maine and inspected the pads they looked fine as well as the rotors. Spend the $$ and buy some aftermarket ones and DIY or have someone do it for you. Then they will last much longer.
Your going to spend more time at the dealer trying to talk to the service writer, who's mechanical knowledge is as bright as a 3year old, or the service manager and get no where. You may get new pads/rotors a few months down the road and you may have the same problem again.

I have 37000 miles on my BRAKES and only about a 1/4 worn. Never a squeak and very low brake dust. I'm not a an of aftermarket brakes. Not sure on this 2009 but I've used Mopar Value line pads in the past and they performed well. In fact I've taken aftermarket pads off after a few thousand miles and have thrown them away. We'll see when time comes on this truck.
