Default Getting that cluncking feeling again....

Same feeling as when I had the front ball joints replaced at 9,000 miles under the old recall. Has 47,000 on it now. 2009 Quad cab Sport.
Feels/sounds exactly the same. Sigh.......

bummer man...replace them with some aftermarket ball joints, will probably last longer and you can get some with a zerk fitting.

i dont know about clunking but at 47000 miles front end seems to be getting loose on my 2009. i have been blaming it on lift/leveling kit but i wonder if parts are just wearing out like your saying.. i dont remember a recall on ball joints, do you mean the tie rod end recall?

Sorry. Duh...Yeah it was the tie rods that had the recall. Feels just like that again. I got the day off tomorrow and if it doesn't hit a 100 degrees again I might jack it up and check it out. If not I'll wait for it to cool down a bit outside. Yikes it is hot out there today.....Maybe my truck is starting to melt?

My ball joints wore out at 60,000 km stock. Had that clunky front end feeling. put a lift on, went to get the alignment and they said needs ball joints. Got ball joints on warrenty and did the alignment.

Now i also have clunky feeling again and its only been 20,000 km!!!

2.5" strut extension. and 275/65r20s.......

My 12 has a clunking in the front end now as well.40k on it,and i can feel it in the steering wheel.Replaced the ball joints a while back, and the pitman tie rod.99% sure its the drag link that doing it but i cant find anyone that lists a Moog drag link for a 2012 2500.Outer tie rods are tight yet but i moght just go ahead and replace everything thats left just so i can grease it all and be done with it for a while.

SolarPLEX,

I suggest following up with your Dodge dealer for a diagnosis. Mopar parts installed carry a 1 year warranty if defective. Depending on the diagnosis and when your previous repairs took place, your warranty may still be valid.
