Talking Want to get new Muffler!! Please help!

Just got my new 2012 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi. I have been researching for the last 4 hrs and still am at a stand still!! Im sure everyone has their opinion on Drone, and Sound. I thought I had it, I wanted the Flowmaster Super 40. I called Flowmaster and they said the only one they reccomend is the 50HD. Its $320 just for the muffler ... WOW! So can someone tell me what is the best luck anyone has had with a good sounding muffler. All I want is a muffler swap, nothing else.

I have done research on Magnaflow, Mufflex, Aeroturbine, Dynomax VT, Flowmaster. Everytime I think this is the one someone says it is garbage. Want to get it done tomorrow. Please Help!

I've had mufflex. Hated it. Put on a magnaflow, wasn't happy there either. Both droned bad on my 09 5.7. I turned off the MSD and it wasn't quite as bad but I didn't like it all the same.

Spent a few bucks and got a Corsa. Love it. Windows up, don't even notice it. Windows down, sounds like a beefy truck. Turned back on MSD and can't even tell. Pricy but not as pricy as going through a few to find out the cheap ones were...cheap.
Had a problem with the 1st one (baffle broke inside). Called Corsa, 2 days later had a new one on my doorstep no questions asked with a return label for the old one.

Best advise, find someone local to you that has different variations and listen to them before dropping the money. Don't forget about install costs.

I have the Flowmaster Super 44 on mine, I have a TRX so its single in dual out, with mandrel pipe and tips, I bought it as a set, off ebay. I wouldn't change it for anything. It sounds mean....in town, punching it when your next to a mustang, or charger, a real deep growl. Go with what you like, alot of people who post are set on what they like. As far as drone, as long as you mount it behind the cab area (closer to the rear axle) you wont have any, mines sounds great on the interstate very quiet, no drone at all.

Id say if your going for just the sound sure a flowmaster is good
but if your going for sound + performance get a mufflex DOD14M

or go with the magnaflow 14"...same thing as the mufflex dod14m(which is magnaflow)...and save yourself $100+ ....bc mufflex is a joke and charges way up the *** for some welded on clamps. when i originally looked for a direct swap I called mufflex and talking to them made my decision..just rude and didn't care to talk and answer questions...and do research on here or *********.com and people have issues with there CS...
