09 1500 SLT Remote entry and panic not working
i have a 09 1500 SLT and the remote entry and panic alarm do not work, although the truck starts fine. I checked both FOBS- replaced the batteries in both still no luck. Any ideas?
Most of the time the semi circle battery hold down is separated from the board at one or more solder points, thus no remote operation.. If so, they can be resoldered easily enough. Very rarely do I see a WCN issue that only effects remotes ..
Pull the soft button cover from circuit board, check pressure contacts, they may need cleaning with eraser and/or fix contacters with contact cement, fixed mine but they need cleaning every now and then!
verified the contacts hadn't been pulled off board- cleaned them all- bent the battery contacts out a bit. Will test as soon as I go back out to truck.
But one other thing I found last night- the high beams on my passenger side don't work. Low beams are fine and the bulb checks out good. Is there a fuse that handles the individual front high beams?

Headlamps are "driver" controlled now!! TIPM (totally integrated power module) supplies driver to lamps. Headlamp switch supplies Mux request to cluster (CCN) then sends buss to TIPM for lamp operation. Check Tipm connector C4 pin 7 (wt/gy wire) (connector is Light grey w/ 16 pins) to headlamp (ohms should be close to "0" , if infinite or high resistance, wire needs to be addressed. If wire, bulb and socket are OK.. Then the issue is TIPM. (hope not, they are big $$$) .. BTW, an Internal TIPM issue can also cause RKE problems, as tipm is "Gateway" for Most "Bussed" modules..
Still not working :-(

where is the TIPM located? Is it the fuse block?

under hood, drivers side, fuse block.. Lift up, find connector in question and "ohm" wire to headlamp connector.. Be advised that if wire is ok , Tipm is 2 part unit..
Tipm is wire you are checking, however "gateway" is attached by 4 screws to front of unit.. TIPM and Gateway (FCM) are integrated units and it is impossible to determine which is not supplying driver .. (could be either.) So dont condemn unless absolute sure wiring and connectors are ok .. Good Luck

Follow up question- Not sure what I should lift up. Should i remove three torx that look like they hold fuse panel itself on and then lift off? or push tabs on side of fuse box and lift the box w/fuse panel out? Or something else??
Didnt want to try because with my luck I would end up breaking something really important
