It depends on your dealer.. The dealer I took mine too didn't care. They were able to read I had it tuned. I highly doubt it's your tuner though that's probably why they aren't saying anything. Did you check your TIPM and look at the fuses and make sure it hasn't wiggled loose...?

I don't know what the TIPM is but i figure if its something loose then it would do it more while moving rather than just sitting there. and it never has an issue with the remote start. I use that alot. Like said a minute ago, i had it started with the remote start then it died when i turned the key on.

Okay... Just throwing ideas out there... But the TIPM is the black box just forward of your battery.... If you open it you see tons of fuses.

If I were in your shoes, I'd return truck to stock tune, pull the negative cable and see if that resolves anything. (did you try the negative cable yet?). I say this bc other members have had electronic issues and they reset the computer by doing that and there issue went away. Just my .02

I did have my radio go whacky on mine, and it made everything on the truck go whacky. If ANYTHING on the bus is throwing a code, it can screw up the whole enchilada.

If there were any codes thrown wouldn't my check engine light come on? I've been so busy I haven't been able to do any troubleshooting yet. Most of the time I just use the remote start. It's only shut off on me once doing it that way so far. Nothing in the truck seems out of the ordinary at all.. just the issue starting sometimes.

So I took it to the dealer here and finally they replaced the PCM again.... It still isn't fixed and is getting worse.. It either wont start half the time or dies once it does start.. I was driving to work the other day and it died twice in the 30 mile trip.. yes, it died actually driving 55-60mph on the road.. it just shut off and right back on.. the other day i went to start it and it wouldn't start.. in the ON position i had no power... so i tapped on the fob and everything came back on.. so i'm thinking it's got to be in the ignition, right?? the bad part is my truck is no longer under warranty.. and because there are no codes (CEL) on the techs don't know how to troubleshoot the problem.. and they don't want to replace something that they dont know is bad.... this truck is becoming a HUGE safety issue.. but I have to drive it.. anyone know someone that works for chrysler that can tell me what i can do to get this fixed!?!?!?!?!

I thought in your first post you stated having purchased the seven year extended warranty? If the problem is that frequently occurring, twice in thirty mile trip, have a tech ride shotgun, or have them drive it themselves with you aboard.

Not everything will flash a CEL code, however if your extended warranty is still under contract, and the problem persists, the dealership has an obligation to resolve the issue.

There was a program on TV Friday night called Marketplace it is a Canadian series a woman from BC has a Dodge Journey and was experiencing the same issues as you, her dealer could not locate the cause and she was at her wits end, she contacted this program and they brought out an expert to analyze the problem and after much troubleshooting he found that there was a defect in the ignition switch , switch losing contact with electrical circuit making engine die and not leaving any codes because there was no power to the computer, problem corrected, Google this program and watch it on there web page, I'm sure it will be a great help to you. Good luck

No more GM's...your comment reaffirms my believe that all cars are electrical nightmares just waiting to happen...

tried the marketplace site.. says the video is unavailable. just went to the store and it died pulling out of the gas station.. over and over.. it took about 7 tries (starts) before it finally stayed running.... I'm going to the dealer tomorrow and they are going to do something... this problem started back in may and it's getting a lot worse.. i'll post tomorrow what they say or do.. i'll try to get a video of what it does. has anyone had the issue of the transmission getting stuck in 4th gear.. it has done that a few times too.. have to shut it off and restart it before it works like it's supposed to. I already have a video of that..
