The recall has pictures of the open diff showing how to install the axle fluid drain back flow restrictor. I have purchased the kit (CBLOK360AA) just to get the new rear end cover. New cover prevents you from adding fluid (19 oz) thru the vent tube. My truck has a build date 4-11 and didn't fall under the recall but I still have the old rear end cover. I am assuming my rear end came from the factory with the fluid drain back restrictor, just need to replace the cover. I called Ram customer service (800#) for the recall, no luck.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and put a "real" cover on it, and get the Mag-Hytec.

thiggins, the last time I checked with Mag-Hytec they were unaware the Ram switched to ZF differential. Haven't check with them lately.

 

I have the Mag-Hytec cover. It fits.
