HELP!?!?! Adding OEM Cruise Control to my 2012 1500 ST
i got this truck for really cheap (it was sitting on the lot) cuz i was driving a 1990 ford 250 and im now going to be driving 16+ hours on a weeky basis and needed it now not in a couple weeks it would have taken to get one built so it would ber nice to have cc!?!
Well to get factory cruise is more than a couple of bucks and I bought the truck because of the price and it was available when I needed it. The next lowest price truck on the lot was a few thousand more and I couldn't wait. The thing I can't figure is why some people can't figure that out.
I have a wheel from a 2011 Ram with cc switch on it. Hook 3 wires on it and you have the factory cruise control. Got the wheel from someone who upgraded there wheel to the button type. Got it in a package deal with some other stuff I bought for my truck. Unfortunately I had already bought another wheel with cruise on it and installed it in my Ram. It is an easy install about 20 min. I'll sell the spare wheel if anyone is interested $35.00 +ship. zip

i traded the truck in for a new one.... tranny failed at 10,000km, ECM Failed at 12,000km as well as like 12 DTCs in the computer... the truck spent more time at the fort mac dodge then i had. i also got charged for $1000 of stuff they said was warrenty till it came time for me to pick the truck up not whatever...
with that $1000 one of the things i found out was that cruse can NOT be added to this truck which i figred out already but they spent hours on it and told me on the phone it was just a falty cruse switch and it could work... appearently not...
