Quick search on internet came up with this
http://www.thecruisecontrolstore.com.../0007/250-1876
So, it can obviously be done, even if there are no "activations" within the TIPM to program.

One problem tho, on the 2012s they have gone away from the handle on the right side of the steering wheel and put the buttons back on the front like the 3rd gens. I am not exactly sure how this setup would work as it does have the handle.

You would have to do some drilling and stuff in the steering column to get this to fit. Also judging by how many connectors there are its not going to be an easy installation.

Not saying it can't be done, I would just be really cautious about this kit. Only because it does not resemble the factory buttons in any way.

I can see where installing an OEM type might be problematic. Shortly after getting my ST I contemplated getting cruise added too and somewhere (can't recall where) I came across someone who had installed a Rostra Cruz cruise control to their truck. The control stock was added to the left side of the steering column just above the lever for the tilt steering.

I already put new horn contacts in that has 3 extra wires to the one I took out and I bought a 2011 cc switch because there was a spot to cut out and holes to screw in the 2011 cc so I have installed both every plugs together how does the aftermarket one work does it come with something to program computer or something

Cruise control must be like walking a kid in front of a candy store, they are always begging to go in.
I have cruise control in every vehicle I have ever owned and never use the damn thing. I think I used it one time when I drove from NY to Florida 12yrs ago and that was it. I'm a 5-10+mph speeder so I choose to use the gas pedal even when there's no traffic. I drive 25miles each way to work all highway and have yet to use it, BUT if I didnt have it I prob would think I would..haha I think cruise control makes people not pay attention to the road as much. They are always fiddling around with something whether its food, radio, talking..etc Not quite as alert, just my opinion.
When I seen this thread posted, I wondered if my beater car actually had cruise or not that I've had for 7months now...lol (it does btw)

Not tryin to bust any *****, just wondering I suppose if you would use it as much as you'd think or even at all and if it's really worth the hassle of the dealer voiding your warranty on anything electronic for installing one cause they always try to, mine did when i installed an alarm system and DVD player. Do you get warranty in Canada?

Where I live warranty can only be denied on a factory part that failed due to an aftermarket part causing that part to fail.

Yes this is true, to expand on that...The aftermarket part must clearly be the reason why the factory part failed. The dealer/mechanic has to prove 100% that it DIRECTLY caused the issue. Many people run tuners here and the dealers have no issues with them. However if you blow a tranny and they look into the computer and see that you have changed the shift points, thats probably going to void your warranty. There are lots of people too that put aftermarket exhausts on, dealers don't seem to have an issue with that either. The exhaust is a little more touchy then perhaps a tuner tho. Exhausts can cause issues with the motor, however there are lots of other things that effect it too. If they can narrow it down to say a back-pressure problem, then ya warranty is done. However this only effects that part, its not like the whole trucks warranty is out the window.

Just make sure you realize that the TIPM is one of those factory parts that get directly connected to your aftermarket part. It would be a shame to blow up that particular piece of equipment.

Thing I can't figure is why people buy ST's and then start adding the stuff that makes it an SLT. Couple bucks up front gets you a lot of equipment and no headaches trying to hack it in later.
