I'm looking at a 2011 Ram to replace my 1998 Ram. I have the full Vin number, need to know what axle ratio it has - if it has a tow package, etc. Can anyone tell me where to find the right vin decoder for the 17 numbers?
I have sites that show it's a quad cab- 5.7 litre , etc. but doesn't tell me the full extent that I need to know. It's on the auction block Tuesday August 13/12

The VIN wont tell you that but the Build Sheet will. You can request one from a dealer or email Chrysler

 

I work for a Ram dealer.

 

Can not get built sheet. Vehicle is in a secured area for auction, only the Vin Number is available. A bit nervous to post vin number here, not sure why just that I am.

 

Auction is Tuesday

 

You cant get the build sheet from the vehicle itself.

You take the VIN to a dealer or email it to Chrysler and they will provide you the build sheet.

As Mark Benson said, she works at a dealer so he would take the VIN, go in the computer and print the build sheet out.

Called the dealer. I found out what I needed. Has the right things for me. 3:92 axle -tow package, etc.
