Since it all started with the fillup, sure sounds fuel related. The filter is in the tank so that would be a PITA to check.

My guess is fuel pump related, may have wiring issue in the tank. Since it does it when full, but not empty.

Yup, this cures a lot of problems. These Chrysler computers are like someone we all know without his tele-prompter,without someone telling them what to say, they don't communnicate well!

So what's your 0-60 with less than a 1/4 tank and not acting up? Asking what others get is comparing apples to oranges - no two trucks are the same, gears, tires, etc.

Since it started with a fill up, you need to change the fuel filter or add some additive to the tank to clean it out.

This is the problem. it has an intermitent lack of *****.
i realize its a 4.7. BUT one day i filled it up and all of a sudden it had no power. barely can push it past 80 unless i try really hard. if i decel then accel it doesnt want to go, i have to almost floor board it and it downshifts and goes. NOW. i have noticed the following.

when its cold outside it seems to run better, when hot worse.

also maybe just my imagination but i swear to you when i have under an 1/8 of a tank it runs like it should, plenty of power, no hesitation etc.

fill it up again, and again we are back to the bogging, hesitation etc...

it is also surging rpms at 40-45 mph when trying to maintain that speed.

took it to dealer four times. first and second time they said they couldnt do anything cause there is no CEL.

third time, nothing wrong they said.

fourth time, they tell me its running "like a 4.7" and its lagging cause i hve 33 inch tires and 20's vs the 17s. <-----BS!

basically they cant diag it cause they dont care to.

i have tried replacing the tps, no help, MAP no help, IAT no help. checked plugs, wires, etc.. all look good.

not a vacuum leak, checked evap canister, checked the numbers wit my solus scanner at work and no lean or rich condition as far as i can tell at idle.

idles fine, WOT seems ok... it only appears to happen in midrange.

soooo this leads me to my question, sorry about the long windedness.

im thinking the fuel tank vent line/filter may be clogged cause a build up of excess pressure in the tank and or not letting enough air in to maintain fuel volume.

THOUGHTS????!?!!??!?!?!?
My thought... Sport Tuner. Find a used one that's unlocked for under $100 if possible. Throw that on there, and feel the increased power. Or... Throw a bottle of fuel treatment in your tank after you fill up next time $8 a bottle. Or! You just got a gutless wonder of a truck by getting a 4.7, and what did you drive before that? You may just be used to the power you have. I drive a 2005 5.7 Hemi Ram which is awesome. I get into my 2002 4.7 Durango... WIMPY.

Its a potential quick fix worth a ten min investment in trouble shooting, ie back to basics, and you have to plug in your tv to get advice on the telepromter.

Fuel PSI needs to be checked.
