Default Steering Rack 2010 issues....

Hey all,

I have a 2010 ram 1500 sport, I have noticed recently that there is a minor amount of play in my steering wheel, truck on or off the amount does not change. Outer tie rod ends seem fine, not sure if there is inner unless they are under the boot that goes to the rack. Its not the universal joint where it connects to the rack. It seems to be internal of the rack. I have manipulated the steering from just below the universal so there are no problems between there and the steering wheel.

I should note that the left drivers tire is showing wear on the outer edge, it could be an alignment issue but it was recently done.

Also I have a levelling kit on the truck could this be putting stress on the internals of the rack causing wear of the gears?

Or has anyone had general issues with the rack?

Thanks!
