Thumbs up Where are the resonators?

Not to familiar with exhaust systems. Where are the resonators located and what is the advantage of taking them off?

After the muffler and before the tailpipe. The only "advantage" to removing them is making more noise - and probabally increasing the MDS drone.

Ok, so if I am putting a new magnaflow muffler in and removing all the pipe from the muffler back then they will be gone? I am having the shop weld in a magnaflow muffler in place of the stock one and just running a pipe to the side right before the passenger rear tire.

I think the single pipe exhaust has the resonator just behind the passenger rear tire. So yes, if you remove all the pipe from the muffler back you'll be taking out the resonator as well.

Oldjeep, to me it seemed the opposite. With a magnaflow/mufflex in it seemed to have LESS drone in MDS.
