Default mysterious noise or clunk

hi guy's after a week I put my lift kit in my 2011 ram 1500
when I stop and put in to reverse, as soon I am backing up it feel like a bad u-joint or something in the drivetrain like drive shaft tripping or something ? it does like a bump or clunk ?
it does that only in reverse and not always ? is anybody see this ? and I just check my u-joint and they seem ok, no loose from the drive shaft, a friend of mine keep forward and backing up to see what's wrong and nothing I can see just hear it and feel it ? I also change my diff oil too and everything inside is ok no bad wearing no leak at all, my truck has 25000km ?

Couple things:
1) Might want to check your pinion yoke to make sure that the nut has not loosened up

2) What kind of lift kit? What components were changed/added? Could be something in the suspension arms that is loose/shifting, bad bushing or a wrong sized bolt somewhere.

thnx for response , I have the rc 6 inch lift kit and every bolt is fully tightened, I test drove it again and it's sound like ''knock'' , if I go forward then reverse it make the knock , and reverse than forward , no knock at all ?? and if the pinions was loose maybe I got a have a leak somewhere or vibration , and I did not feel it , no grinding and no hard shifting just the reverse knock thing

cawush,

I do have to advise that as a matter of corporate policy, any modifications or alterations to your vehicle could seriously affect the roadworthiness and safety of your Ram and may lead to an accident resulting in serious injury or death. Our warranties do not cover repairs required because of non-Chrysler modifications, installation of special equipment or accessories, or use of special materials, fuels or additives. Non-Chrysler modifications do not by themselves void your warranty, but they are not covered.

After your modification to the suspension, it is possible that your drive line angle has increased. A higher angle will increase angular load on the drive shaft joints possibly causing a binding sensation.
Oldjeep did bring up a good point, check the pinion nut as you may not always get a vibration or leak and you want to make sure all your bases are covered.

One way to investigate further is to bring your vehicle back to stock and if the ‘knock” is still there, you would be best served to get your Ram to your dealer.
But keep in mind, the damage may already be done…

Dodgecares, you mean even if he puts in a can of STP gas treatment he can void his warranty? I have been putting it in my wife's Kia (GDI engine) every other fillup. So what do manufacturers think about these relatively benign products?

Garage is empty, add now
I never had a vibration issue and if the nut on the pinion was loose I will feel it ( vibration or grinding ) the knock it does is when I back up and not always, if I completely stop than put in reverse , It does nothing , but if I go forward than slow down and reverse it does the ( knock ) as I said , not always, tomorrow I will check the track bar bolt if they are tightened enough and the tubular arm.

You sure it is not just the gas in the tank. My gas makes a clunk noise if the tank is around half full.

Its most likely the tranny shift due to forward movement, mine does it, completely normal, probably not good to shift in reverse while still moving forward, its talking to you, have someone else drive it while you crouch near it when done, you'll hear where its coming from, your probably more sensitive to noises cause you looking for something more now after install. As far as all the bs on additives, unless dodge has an ess cam to follow every move don't worry about it, unbelievable the ship they are willing to pull to get out of stuff, if your aftermarket stuff causes the problem then fine they shouldn't be on hook but now because I put in amsoil, royal purple diff lube, or some other fluid not dodge is bs, she probably miss spoke.

What these corps need! Just take care of your customer, he is always right and you never lose him, easy thing to follow but they don't.
