The electrical problems continue! Sick and tired of it!
First I had the flicker/pulsating in the headlights, then the driver's side headlamp works when it feels like, I replaced the bulbs and no change. I used the remote start on my key fob yesterday morning before heading to work, and nothing happened, I tried the unlock and lock the truck, nothing at all, I took my spare fob for it has a new battery in it and nothing also. I have to stand beside the driver's door and press the unlock or lock a couple of times, and then finally the vehicle unlocks the door. I checked for messages on the EVIC like remote start disabled due to something, but there was no message. It seems like the truck was asleep, and you have to wake it up. This morning was the same! This truck is getting on my nerves, I talked with the dealership to see if they got an email back from the Engineers at Chrysler, and nothing, and my remote start is useless now! It feels like maybe one day I won't even be able to get in the vehicle, I'm getting really tired of this, I wonder if there is something that can be done ASAP. I could bring to the dealership, but I know I'll get the same response as usual, we couldn't find anything wrong! The wife is tired of lending me her car to take the truck to the dealership over and over again and again, and they find nothing wrong! Ridiculous! And then wait forever for a response from the dealership, Really, come on! I just want my TIPM replaced, for I believe that's the problem.

Are you saying that they don't know how to fix it or are you saying that everything works fine when you bring it in to them? I would just leave it there for a couple of days over night and keep the keys. Go there in the mornings and drag them out to the parking lot and show them what it's going to do. Unless you can trust them to do it themselves, if so just let them find the problem. No sense in waiting for a useless email, I don't see howq that's going to solve anything.

How many times do I have to leave it with them and I have dragged them out to see and show them the issue, and they just can't find the problem. I highly believe that it is the TIPM myself, but what do I know. The engineers I'm sure they are NOT looking into it, I had the headliner on this fall apart, within a week the engineers figured something out to repair the issue, I highly doubt it again, they just replaced the headliner, and again had to go back again to repair their mistake on the installation. Big company's don't really care until legal issues start getting involved, unfortunately Canada does not have the lemon law, we just seem to get screwed. I could try to bring it to another dealership to hear the same thing, it's just costing me time and money. I'm going to drive it till it dies, then Chrysler hopefully will come to terms in fixing it, at the moment I have to bite the bullet on a $53,000.00 Truck! Again this is bull!

Completely sounds like TIPM. They need to swell up and just replace it and yes, I agree there seems to be a lot of "issues" that dealerships simply don't know how to diagnose and/or fix which started around '06 when they went to TIPM (I have good old fuses and relays in my '04, thank goodness).
I wonder if it's a training issue? We have a couple of mods who are techs and they seem to always be talking about going to training classes.
I'd inquire if the techs at YOUR dealership have completed the training on the newer features in your truck. Seems like the guys who are mods here are up on their training.

Again, I came back from work and again, I get out of the vehicle, close the door, nothing to go lock the doors using the key fob, tried the unlock button, nothing either, remote start the truck, it started, but turning remote start off, nothing. I went inside using the spare key fob, nothing. I eventually got frustrated enough to keep pressing any button till something happened, eventually shut off the truck, and eventually locked it up. Hopefully tomorrow morning the gremlins in the vehicle is going to allow me to go to work tomorrow. Errrggg!!.

Read HammerZ71's post again. Remember it "TIPM", go back to the Chrysler dealer and get the service manager. Tell him to look it up and read about it, then tell him you want it replaced because you have had enough.
Oh! by the way find the TIPM module on your truck and mark a little x on it, that way you will know that they replaced it.

I sure will try that, hopefully something can get done, I'm getting ticked off of these issue's, and I pretty sure that the TIPM is the cause of all these issues, even though they say it's fine according to their Starscan which is bull!

Starscan??? On a 2011? Oh my, this is not good. There isn't much I can do for you from here. I would need to watch certain data whle it was happening. (since of course it's all controlled by computer) I have done several multifunction switches on these, but since you're describing just ONE lamp going out, i'm not leaning that way. I would be hitting the ground and looking for a Chia pet starting to grow on one. G107 6 wire ground, behind the drivers wheel well shield on the body. There are 2 of them there and it's the most inboard one. If you drive in a lot of snow and mud this is a very good possibility in that location.
Barring that, we know the TIPM is the output for lights. They need to make sure there is no wiring issue between them, pull the connectors off the bottom of it and look for water intrusion and then go after the TIPM itself. If you are under warranty, they need to $hit or get off the pot...spend a little time for the needed checks and get you a TIPM. Yeah, it may be a bit of a stretch as far as being 110%, but we have to do that sometimes to resolve issues. No guts no glory, eh?
As for training in Canada, I have no idea how/where they do it or who teaches it. I would guess they don't see near the amount of cars we do here either. All the training in the world doesn't replace experience or ability. Electron movement hasn't changed for at least a couple decades (sarcasm)
The RKE issue, there is a flash for the TIPM. They can't do it with a freakin Starscan either and they probably wouldn't know it had one if that's what they used.

issues like this really bother me...
I am an electrician by trade, and by experience I know that no two situation will be the same. Symptoms could be the same but a total different problem. People could come up to me an explain an issue that they are having, but until I actually go there and take readings. I have no positive explanations, just theories.
Now I realize these systems are a little different, but the basic idea is similar. How can a dealership look at a symptom, and send that information to an engineer. He/she has no idea what the vehicle even looks like, and they are supposed to solve the issue?
Sometimes yes, it can be as simple as a bad ground. But again unless someone is willing to get their hands dirty, their never gonna find that. Which again bothers me, because that's how this day and age is going. "mechanics" in dealerships don't know what to do anymore unless the computer throws a code. Having said that there are still a select few dealerships that have people with common sense. Trick is to finding the right one...
To the OP: I would just keep on that dealerships case, I know it sounds like a pain. But call them every day! Eventually they are either going to give you the truth (Have no idea what it is), or just bust in and replace the module.

I got my vehicle back today, they reprogrammed the WCM for the FOB issue, which was supposedly reprogrammed a while back, seems to be working fine now. For the headlight issue, Katie from DodgeCAcares confirmed with me that the engineering side replied that they are aware of the problem. Well, the truth be told the TIPM provides a pulse width modulation voltage output to the headlamps through high side drivers on the right and left low and high beam feed circuits to illuminate the selected headlamp filaments. This can result in a perceptible output fluctuation, along with the normal charging system voltage fluctuations. Dan from tech support explained that this is normal, and in bold capital letters replied by saying, DO NOT replace the TIPM for this concern, no correction can be made for this concern. While possibly undesirable, this is a normal condition of a non voltage regulated circuit. No further action required.
Really? Who is the engineer that designed this electrical system, which they know there is an issue, but no remedy at this time. Keep waiting......
