Default Factory Remote Start And Alarm Options?

I have a 2012 Ram 3500 Longhorn with factory remote start. I am wanting to install a alarm as there has been many vehicles being broken into in my area.

Are there any companies that offer a alarm that uses the stock key fob? Say when I lock the dorr the alarm will set? I don't want to carry around a second fob.

Also is there any way to extend the range on the factory remote start?

And info or help would be great
Thanks

Can't help you with the alarm but...

Sounds kooky but hold the key fob under your chin and hit the remote start button. This way I can get about 200yds of range in free air. Indoors it's a crap shoot depending upon the building structure.

I tried having an aftermarket alarm installed in my truck, which has the automatic start. They were able to get it to work with the fob key that came with the truck but the down fall is the alarm horn would beep every time I locked and unlocked the doors with the engine off or on, so I had them remove it. And they said they couldn’t anything about it because the alarm was activated and deactivated by the lock and unlocking of the doors
