roju6,

Did you have to break the covers to remove them, or did they come off in one piece? Wondering if I took mine off, I could sell them to someone else who wanted a replacement set.

If you're careful you can get them off in one piece, they are just glued on around the lip, a spot close to the center on each spoke, and a strip along each spoke (see some of the pics on the previous page). I didn't care about mine and it still came off in one piece, you just have to work your way around the rim to get a start.
Once it warms up here I'm going to be taking all of my covers off, cleaning up the rims and throwing a good coat of wax on them to protect them. I do like the powder coating idea but I'll stick with the finished aluminium for now.

Biggest thing you'd have to be careful about is not scratching the aluminum rim underneath the cover

Any pictures of the full rim without the clad would be very helpful thanks
