The Chrysler Group announced the specs for the new 2013 Ram Heavy Duty this morning with 850lb-ft of torque, a towing capacity for the Ram 2500 of 18,350 and a max towing capacity for the Ram 3500 of 30,000 pounds - numbers that crush the best from Ford and GM.

Damn.. I was going to say that it didn't "crush" Ford's offering.. but with a GCWR of 37,600 and 29,970 max trailer weight on the regular cab 2wd dualie, that's impressive..

 

Well, maybe so.

However, I wouldn't want to be driving in front of one of these pulling 30,00lb going down a mountain.
