I have a 2012 Crew Cab for work and a 2011 Mega Cab for personal stuff. When I crank the tunes in my crew cab pickup, I can actually hear the sub. I don't get the same amount of sound from the sub in the Mega Cab.

Does anybody know, are they the same setup? I know they're mounted differently but there is a big difference in bass. I know the stock setup isn't the best but I'm not interested in adding a sub--just want the little extra thump that should be there from the stock system.

 

put some polyfil.

 

reducing the air space in the factory box will help a bit but don't take away too much as it may blow the sub.
