Anybody else have a rough idle?
If I lived back east I would agree this is a reasonable assumption. Unless lizards build nests, this would not be my case. Airbox clean. Just checked in case a gila monster decided to get ambitious.
Will stop at the dealer today and ask them to at least pull the codes. Will report back with what they tell me. Who knows, may not even have to do with the idle.
Like I said, the truck has like 5k miles now. It has idled poorly for at least the last two months. I thought it was normal.

Atomic,
If there are any inquiries after having the vehicle diagnosed at the Dodge dealer PM me for further review.
I look forward to hearing your update.
I am sure it's no big deal. Heck I had a new Chevy camaro blow a computer weeks after purchase. The truck is getting good mileage despite not going into eco mode, drives fine. Things break. With probably a few thousand parts, one or two are bound to go bad.
I have never had a new vehicle NOT need some sort of warranty work done with the first few months.
edit: My wife's kia sorento has had nothing go wrong at 10 months now. I should say American car has always needed something. Not a knock, just my reality.

Yes, they are impressive. But uncomfortable to my butt. Kia is where Toyota was 10 years ago. They have something to prove and are trying to build good cars. Fiat may have the same mentality. I have high hopes.
OK so this afternoon the check engine light went off and the truck idles smoothly. I am still bringing it to the dealer tomorrow morning first thing. They claim they can see recent codes thrown, whether the check engine light is on or not. Will report back.
I once had a Chrysler that had a bad injector that acted similarly. I wonder of it was clogged? Anyway I will report what was found tomorrow.

The dealer pulled data off the computer. The code was for cyl #4 misfire. They also note that it is now running normally. They have no clue what happened. All they suggested was fill with a good tank of premium from a name gas station (like Chevron).
They made note of it. Said if it starts idling rough again to bring it right back. The rough idle got worse and worse over the last couple months. It seems strange it would heal itself, but it has somehow.

Code P0304
The actual service notes says they "checked wiring to injector and coils" "witec run misfire monitor -no misfires counted." They suspect electrical, but they claim that the code that was thrown does not indicate whether it was an injector failure (whether clogged with a spec of crap, or faulty) or coil or the wiring in between. I hate intermittent problems. But I did win the bet that they would find nothing wrong. I guess they see this code in older cars, not new ones.
We all laughed that the truck has magical healing powers, and we'll wait and see if it ever happens again. Personally I think it idles a tad rough still at 500rpm in drive with foot on brake, but I'm just glad it is running good again.

I have the same problem with my 2010 ram, when truck is warm with no codes on , when first starts idle is 700 in P and in D but when truck getting warm it goes down to 500 with rough idle , i tried to raise idle to 700 rpm using my predator but nothing happen it stays 500 rpm
