Default Anybody else have a rough idle? *updated* code P0304

My 12 ram 1500 5.7 idles rough. Not sure why as it seems to run fine otherwise. I kind of got used to it, but when my wife rides with me she always comments at the giggling of the truck when at a stop light.

My assumption is that this is normal.

My check engine light came on this afternoon. lol! Guess there may be an issue after all. I assumed it was normal because it has always been rough, but it seems like it has been getting worse little by little.

Ouch. Be interesting to hear what codes it threw.

I'm interested, too. Mine is rough. Not terribly rough, but rougher than any other V8 vehicle I've ever been in. It's only at idle. I'm not getting any lights, and the dealer told me it was normal (as usual).

Rough idle.... could be the corn gas doing it. Winter blended gas is surely among us all...!
Some of you might not realize, but they`re dumping E15 in the tanks now...! Hemi`s dont like E15...!

All we've had here is corn gas for the last 20 years or so. Haven't had any issues beyond the reduced mileage and extremely clean fuel system

Will stop at the dealer today and ask them to at least pull the codes. Will report back with what they tell me. Who knows, may not even have to do with the idle.

Like I said, the truck has like 5k miles now. It has idled poorly for at least the last two months. I thought it was normal.

Doesn't sound normal, should idle smoothly even cold. Might be worth just pulling and looking at the air filter. Had an odd occurrence once with my wife's SUV running oddly where some mice filled up the airbox with bird seed.

Excellent call OJ, i`ve had this happen a couple times myself this past summer where rodents got into my airbox, filled full of grass, choked my truck right off... BUT, it didnt throw any CEL, just ran terrible. They even almost chewed a hole thru the metal screen on my K&N filter. Replaced my K&N, been running ok ever since. I now have a thick type metal screen over the airbox opening. Thers no way they can chew thru that or get into it now.

Back when i worked for honda motor company, had a honda accord come in on the hook, stalling issue, pulled the airbox open, PLUGGED FULL of dogfood. So i asked the customer if she had any dogs, she looked at me with amazement and said "yes, how would you know that", i said to her, "because i just pulled 5lbs of dogfood out of your airbox and the car seems to run fine now".
