Changed spark plugs now having slight problems
Its not plugs. Its installation issues. I called and talked to a number of the plug manufactures before I bought spark spark plugs and there is NO reason a platinum or iridium plug would or could cause issues. The COP 5.7 and the Hybrid's 5.7 come with 100,000 mile platinum plugs. All you have to do is do a GOOGLE on the plug your interested in. Go to their website and they all have a tech assistance info line.
They answer any and all questions. G.M. has TECH bulletins addressing plug issues. Causing misfire and CHARGE system issues. If its not a pulse duration plug issue its a install issue. If wires are not fully snapped or a wire end pulled or even slightly damaged it causes stray voltage bleed over. Milli-volt bleed over causes running and charge system issue. This same issue has been discussed on other car manufacture forumns with same issues and reasons found after a plug change. Its not just Hemis. Corvettes come factory with a fine wire iridium plug made by AC Delco. Other vehicles and manufactures do also BUT not ALL their models with the same engine. It appears to be a COST issue if a standard plug, platinum or iridium used. OH and they ALL are copper cored.

Ok I rechecked all my coil pack wire connections yesterday as recommended, everything was snapped on tight. Then I checked the position of the AIT sensor and it was vertical. The tip of the sensor looks like a big plastic needle head with a blue metal strip in the middle of the opening. After studying the sensor tip opening I think it should be horizontal so the air can flow through the opening and hit the blue metal strip. So I repositioned the senor and buttoned everything back together. I fired up the truck and the check engine light came on again. I checked the DTC code and it came back again with P 0113 IAT sensor 1 circuit high, but two additional codes came up P 0171 fuel system 1/1 lean and P 0174 fuel system 2/1 lean. I think that explains the hesitation I was experiencing during cold WOT runs. So know to the interesting part of all this, I decided to return the truck to stock tune removing the 93 octane superchips tune. Guess what the problem went away and the truck is running smooth, no DTC codes. So know I wonder if the tune does not like the XP plugs for some reason. Dang all this is frustrating, I am planning on going to the drag strip tonight and I will load the 93 octane tune back and make some runs. I’ll see if maybe the AIT sensor position helped fix the problem or not. So is anyone out there running the XP’s with a superchips tune? Any issues? Are the XP's hotter or colder that the stock plugs? If I cant resolve this issue, then I am returning the XP's and going back to the stock plugs.

The plugs have nothing to do with a canned tune. Using a canned tune, plugs are tried with different heat ranges and such with no DTC set or running issues. Try putting the tune back in and see. You can also get in touch with whom evers tune it is and ask them.
Just wanted to give you guys an update, I ran the truck with the stock tune all day Friday with no problems. I ran a diagnostic to check for any DTC's and came up clear. In the evening, I went to the track and after a brief cool down, did a 1/4 run with the stock tune. My truck ran 15.1 @ 91 MPH which was pretty good considering it was a hot lap. I loaded the 93 performance tune back and ran 14.8 @ 94 MPH, did not feel any hesitation during WOT. This morning I did several WOT runs on a cold engine and did not feel the problems I was experiencing before. FYI, I also repositioned the AIT sensor back to its original vertical position. I had a chance to look at two Ram R/T’s at the track last night and both had their AIT’s in the vertical position the same way mine was before I moved it.
