Default 2010 keyless entry problems

My factory keyless entry is barely working on my 2010 ram. Does anyone else have this problem or know the fix ? I have to get right by the door and push it 10 times and it finally unlocks. Besides the terrible, terrible headlights on this truck, that is my only problem so far. Exactly 3 years old today

Maxbob,

Is there any message on your EVIC? If the keyfob battery needs to be replaced, the EVIC will display "Keyfob Battery Low". If you change the battery and are still experiencing a problem I'd recommend reviewing with your Dodge dealer. If you have any inquiries or are seeking additional assistance, feel fee to PM me.

Search for prior posts on the topic. Some people have found that the battery contacts get dirty and need to be cleaned to get the fob working better. It has been as simple as that for me a few times.

All I had to do to get mine working correctly was to change the battery to a good Duracell battery. Been fine for three years now. No battery change since I did it. Maybe the FOBs sit around in a big box in a forgotten missile silo somewhere in North Dakota and they pull them out of a storage locker when they need them.

I've had random days where mine doesnt work. went to change the battery and the girl at autozone clicked it and it worked fine. said maybe moisture in the air since it was a rainy day. happens every few months randomly, and that was the first time on a rainy day
