Unfortunately I got the awful tick. Brought it to two dealers and both refused to cover it under the power train warranty or my maxcare lifetime warranty due to them being "bolts". They also said 3 bolts were snapped off; reality only 1 since I was the only one to remove the heat shield to confirm it (hate dealerships). Anyways I am replacing all the bolts an gaskets myself and thought maybe I should get new headers since I am taking it all apart? Recommendations?

I called dodge and they stated the same thing. Manifold and gasket are covered but not bolts if they are seized or rusted......I already took the heat shields off anyways and snapped 3 of those crappy Chinese bolts

I know for a fact that people have had issues getting this covered under the warranty as well as people just ponying up the cash. Maybe I just need to tell them my lawyer will be contacting you and see you in court?!

Avoid BBK shorty headers. Here's why. Sounds like an exhaust leak. It is not. No leak.
