I have two 5 star dealers near me and never had any issues with either. The only issue with my truck was a leaking pinion seal and the tech brought it to my attention, this was 2 months ago. Made an appointment and they took care of it under warranty, no hassles, took about 4 hours.

When I bring it in for service we always do a walk around for dents dings and scratches and always comes back without anything new added, plus a free wash after service. Waiting area is comfortable with free coffee and sometimes donuts if you get in early enough.

So I guess I can consider myself very lucky.

I have heard many of the same horror stories posted on here about the other brands and constantly see complaints about Ford trying not to honor warranty work. Just check out the other sides forums. I don't check the Japanese brands forums so I can't say anything about them

I never had any problems with FORD dealership they always did the best they could do for me it FORD it self not having the answers how to fix the know problems or letting the dealership do what's right.

It is not all the time the dealer fault don't matter what brand you get if the manufacture wont pay for the cost to the dealer or give the dealer the ok to do the repair or have fix for the problem you cant blame the dealership.

I had a 2002 Ford F-250 4X4 with a 5.4 blew the plugs out one of the heads I Purchased the truck used though a Dodge dealer purchased the Chrysler extended warranty when the truck broke the Chrysler rep said they would not cover the repair because the truck had a lift kit and over size tires.

The Ford dealership that was across the street from the Dodge dealership where I purchased the truck told me to take it to Ford to fix it they told the Warranty rep this is a know problem and the lift kit and over size tires had nothing to do with the plugs blowing out of the head and they should honor the warranty The Ford dealership was on my side and fought for me.

After telling the Warrant rep I was getting the BAR involved they fixed the truck then they canceled the rest of the warranty on me.

Just letting others know it not always the dealership fault.

Update on my Ford. A little over 200 miles since they installed the new motor and I now have a transmission oil leak.

Sounds like they slammed it together just to get you out the door...typical.
Possible hose leak, maybe a torque convertor seal, a tail shaft seal...???
Where do you see the oil coming from (???) How much are you loosing.

I didn't dig into it too much but it looks like it is coming from higher up on the tranny. I took it to the shop yesterday and they will dig into it first thing Monday morning.
