I'm just about to crack 100,000 miles on my original set of pads/rotors. Have noticed that my braking is getting a little weaker and will go to new pads and rotors in a couple months. Any suggestions as to brand or type from those of you who've changed them??

Stick with OEM parts rotors are made in Canada pads are made in Spain, then you get exact fit.

I used the Wagner Thermoquiet pads and have no complaints.

Rotors are consumables. Buy a good set at O'Riley's, etc. I don't resurface/turn rotors any more. Most resurfacing machines are not accurate enough to turn rotors to spec run-outs. Even when a machine can provide a resurfacing that is true, a warpped rotor will only warp again. In last 10 years, 3 out or 4 resurfacing for me have not been true and had to get new rotors anyway, usually less than $75/rotor.

Drove my 2012 RAM 1500 3,500 miles and my pads never bedded-in. Had to do 5 panic stops from 45mph before they set. Not sure I'm going to stick with OEM pads. My search for good performing pads resulted in EBC Green being first choice - 7000 fronts and 6000 rears.

60,000 on my Quad Sport. I changed the pads at around 50,000 with the NAPA Adaptive 1 pads and love them. When I took the old pads off they were still about half there. I changed them because I felt a loss of braking power. Now I have a slight pulsation in the brakes so I am sure they are warped someplace. But I will do the rotors at the end of the Summer. Wasn't there a vendor her that had a great deal on rotors?

I use Posi (pads) from R1 Concepts and their rotors as well. Very high quality rotors (OE or performance), and their customer service is fantastic.

When I swapped out my OEM rotors on my Charger, I went with slotted rotors and Posi-quiet pads, I was able to work a really good deal via phone, rather then order by internet.

I believe they have a 15% off brake parts as a Memorial Day special.

Geez, i dunno, i`m @ 60,000+ on the OEM stuff, not even @ the 1/2 way point on my front pads, (rear still look fairly new..!) and ALL the rotors look great..! Keep in mind, rotors today are only surface hardend, they WILL chip crack and peel if you`re hard on the pedal all the time, the heating up causes it. Good indication you`re hard on your brakes, BLUE colored rotors...high heat issue = braking to hard to often, they dont cool down fast enough before you`re on the pedal again, or worse, ridin the brake pedal too much. Towing i would expect it, but daily driving, (like me) i would tend to think its the way the vehicle is drivin. Most vehicles i`ve ever owned went 100,000+ in most case`s before i needed any brake work.

Just my two penny`s :-)
