I changed them because I felt a loss of braking power. Now I have a slight pulsation in the brakes so I am sure they are warped someplace. But I will do the rotors at the end of the Summer. Wasn't there a vendor her that had a great deal on rotors?
i think "BRAKEMOTIVE" was the one you were thinkin of. If i remember right, they only sell their products on ebay. They had GREAT prices last time i checked but that was last summer when i was just lookin around to see what i could find when the time came to do mine. I thought at one time, they were a vendor on here, but i`m not finding that info anywhere here, it could be they are a vendor on another dodge forum that i`m a member on. Old age is gettin me, just dont remember much anymore...lol. Anyhow, i DID look for them on ebay and DID find them without any problem. Go do a ebay search for them on there, you`ll find them. I`ve actually talked them in the past, seemed like genuine people to me.
I`ll try to post a link for them here, but it might not come thru.
This auction is for ALL 4 rotors & pads...free shipping too

Dunno Ojeep, hell i`ve used ceramic pads for Y-E-A-R-S, never one issue with stopping power for me, BUT, then again, i`m not a hot rod on my brakes either, or as they say, "cowboy stops" everytime i`m on the brake pedal. And once a year, (always just before winter) i always pull my calipers, clean an grease all my caliper slides an pins. My rotors are never blue in color from overheating, never warped a rotor in my life, my pads are always evenly worn on both inner and outer, no sticky calipers, pistons are always free, brake fluid flush once a year. One would have to think that if your brake system isnt enough for you, you might be asking to much out of your brake system. Regardless, ceramic pads do a plenty good enough job, for me.Originally Posted by oldjeep
Be interesting if they posted the results of Cold Stop Coefficient of friction, which is what ceramic pads really suck at.

Traditionally cold performance of ceramic is much worse than a standard semi-metallic pad, so they are worse for vehicles that don't see a lot of stop and go driving. The whole reason for using ceramics is that they resist brake fade when hot. So if anything it is the hot rod types who go for them Originally Posted by LU229

I hear ya dude, and i agree with you about ceramic pads. As for my concern about ceramic pads, i`m ok with them, lot less brake dust on my chromies. I hardly ever touch the brake pedal, i`m never much over 40/45mph these days. She`it man, i`m only slightly on the brake pedal just long enough to stop a slow roll and then gitt`r into park...lol. I could prolly get 300,000 miles out my brakes if the dang vehicles would last that long...lol.Originally Posted by oldjeep

I have an 09 CC 2WD with 45,000 miles. An obviously warped rotor showed up causing pulsation in the pedal and that famous grab, release, grab feeling that drives you crazy. It started at about 25,000 and I finally took it to the dealer and they said the rear rotors were warped. No problem I thought, but he said that the fronts are covered by warranty, but not the rears. WTH?? I checked with a dial indicator and sure enough, .004 on both rears and the fronts are perfect.
The dealer said that rears aren't covered because the E-brake could have been left on causing them to over heat. Well, that did not happen because I am the only driver and I have never even used my parking brake. The rotors are not discolored and have never been hot. This is my third Dodge Ram and I have never had any issues with brakes. Seems like Dodge should replace the rear rotors.
