Save your money , take your wife / girlfriend out for dinner, you'll get a better return on your investment.

X2, save your money, they do not work well on the stock 4th gen hemi trucks UNLESS, you`ve done engine mods. But if you want alot of intake noise and less MPG on your stock hemi truck, go for it. The factory air box was designed VERY well, leave it alone. If you do anything at all, just toss a K&N filter in it and walk away.

I went with the AFE Stage II. Its sounds nicer and I had a very marginal mid range performance increase. But what I like the most is that it is a dry filter (no oil) and can just be washed out, that saves a lot of $$ over replacing the disposable ones. Its obvious as all heck when the hood is popped and the dealer has never said a word about it, all warranty work has been honored.

If you installed a CAI, don't expect a big improvement on your ride. Installing a good exhaust and header or a custom tune can really tell the difference.

Not saying you're wrong but how can the cai decrease the mileage. Granted the stock intake on my 2012 looks very well designed, theres no way it allows more air in than the K&N. Again just courious

Coming from the F150 crowd, I did a CAI before understanding the 09 Dodge did not use a MAF sensor and there were no Dodge CAI tunes available probably because of this. Manufacturers claim increases of different amounts and all have 'their' dyno sheets available. I have not seen anyone's posted dyno results of just adding one - before and after - just lots of opinions. I did the AFE stage II with a dry filter only because of the claimed 18 HP and whatever TQ increase but other than sound didn't really feel a difference, not sure you can actually feel that small amount of TQ increase with your butt dyno. I will not do this mod again if I get another Ram truck. Plus, with these open design intakes, the air is only 'cool' when you are moving, when sitting, your intake temp has to be higher from engine heat so you are heat soaked and loose off the line performance. ya, just my opinion..

Adding a tuner was certainly worth the investment, optimizing your settings, you notice it immediately all throughout the rpm ranges and the custom trans programming is fantastic on this setup. This cost less than the CAI ( truck customizers was $280.00 for the flashpack and superchips gave you the trans tune for free when they first released it ).
