I have a 2011 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Laramie Sport, It has every bell and whistle, but i just saw another ram for sale and it had a uconnect mirror that went to a rear view camera picture when reversing, can i add that to my setup even though i already have u connect and i already have a backup camera that displays on the radio display. If so what is required to do so, is it as simple as purchasing the mirror that has the screen in it or do i have to add all kinds of crap. Thanks in advance.

 

I can't tell you if you can add it or not, but I believe that video mirror is the one you get if you order the backup camera and do not have a display-screen radio model. You could possibly look into the parts list for a truck equipped that way to see what the part number is for that mirror. Whether it could be hooked up to your backup camera I have no idea.

i was thinking it may have been a dealer added option because it was a lower end truck with a bbackup camera... seemed weird... but if it can be done i want it!!
