yes, generator, air compressor, and floor jack go forward of axle. only the toolbox goes in the back.

Honestly, with all that stuff in the truck and what you are towing - trading it in on a 3/4 ton would be the best option. In absence of that, you might want to do some research and find the heaviest tallest rear coils that they use in a 1500. I suspect that they would be from a crewcab 2wd since the 2wd's seem to be able to carry more weight in the bed.

It's dad's company truck so trading isn't exactly an option. He's a traveling technician for a company from south carolina, they help pay for your vehicle but it has to meet their requirements. We had 297,000 miles on the 05 when we sold it and it was paid off several times over.

That's why I asked if anybody knows of a cross reference of the coils- like off the front of a 2500 or 3500....

We had the load-assist shocks on the 05, why would they not fit the 11? I don't see any interfences, and the mounts are the same on both ends, and dimensions are the same.

No reason you couldn't try them, but the biggest issue with load assist shocks is that they put a lot more strain on shock mounts that may not have been designed to be load bearing.

Good find.

Cheaper here-> http://www.strutmasters.com/Superspr...0-p/ssc-50.htm

The rubber spacers (basically NASCAR spring rubbers, but for the ram's coil spacing) we put in the neighbor's truck also claim a 30% increase, we'll see if they live up to it.

Could also put 1" spacers under the coils too.

I'm seeing a bunch os 2" and 3" lift kits for the 4th gen ram, surely they use a longer spring? But I can't find any part numbers or references for them...

I'd go full height replacement coils, spacers just preload the stock springs and make the truck ride like a lumber wagon when it is not loaded.
