Default Fog lights button but no fogs

Just below my head light **** is a button for fog lights. I can turn it on, and the indicator lights up on the dash display. Problem is, the truck doesn't have any actual fog lights. Why is the button there and indicators, but no actual lights?

You have the bumper without the foglight holes? Stick your head up under there to see if there is any wiring. The later trucks actually had to have a computer re-programmed to accept the fog lights, so if you have the switch and it works, the bumper was swapped for a "straight" steel bumper (as I call it anyway, it's plain).

Yes, the bumper is the plain one that has no foglight holes. I met the previous owner of this new truck, so i will ask if the bumper was ever swapped. I doubt it though.

The little button below the headlight switch is likely your box/cargo light.

Yup, just talked to the old owner. That's the cargo light, not fog light. Funny. The little indicator looks basically like that traditional fog light indicator.

Dad said the same thing when he was trying to figure out all the lights. I thought it was fog too! Dodge, pick better symbols!

Yep, that's the cargo light. Fog light switch is the center of the headlight **** (if you have them).

Ahh memories.... I drove my 09 truck home all the way from CT. While driving it I hit that switch thinking the same exact thing, fog lights. As I was driving in PA I noticed a few trucks flash their lights after I passed. I finally figured it out...
