I would definitly find another dealer an keep trying other dealers until its resolved if you can. Call chrysler, do what ever you have to, to get results. A lot of these service managers need to be unemployed on the spot for how they treat their customers. I blame chrysler for it, they dont do anything about their dealerships. Its very obvious that they dont give a ****, otherwise they`d be steppin up the efforts to save their company. I know chrysler dosen`t OWN the dealerships per say, but at least they could get after these ugly ones that treat customers like ****. Thers more bad ones than good ones... it SHOULD BE the other way around.

The problem is the next closest dealership is 30-45 mins away, depending on traffic. I dont have that kind of time, nor will I any time soon. Finishing up one job now and I'm swamped with work, and start a new one in a little over a week.

I'm not sure if you still have the warranty, but if you have a local muffler shop by your job-site, try stopping by during the lunch hour. Call them first and tell them what you want them to check. If it's the bolts, then you can decide how to handle it. I think most shops have some kind of exhaust sniffer tool.

Good call Pedro...!!! Maybe mdram43 can at least get it looked at if possible... that would set his mind at ease on it.

Rdculus,

Why haven't you had it fixed yet? If you need assistance or have any questions feel free to PM me. I'd be happy to help.

Is it covered under warranty? I am reading alot from guys whose dealerships are not covering it.

I dont understand how it could not possibly be covered under warranty. You've got a 100,000 mile powertrain "engine, transmission and drive system". The headers and bolts that hold them on are most definitely part of the engine. the bolts thread into the engine block. I dont see how they could tell you its not covered

My dealer covered the broken stud/bolt replacement under the powertrain warranty.

Sounds like he was just unprofessional and thought he was being a funny guy. Service writers THINK they know all about cars. There's a reason why they sit behind a computer and deal with customers and not actually work on the cars..because they do not know what they are talking about. All they know is from Hearsay. Same thing walking into Advance Auto when some young punk thinks he knows it all. All they know is from people coming in asking for parts they had a problem with.

My '08 has ticked since 400miles. Funny that there is a silent recall on the exhaust valves from being too small and rocking inside the valve stems...yet this guy said he's never heard of a Hemi tick problem. What a clown.
I'll deal with the tick(very loud when warm) rather than have my engine torn apart by a mechanic to replace the valves. Truck runs great and is bone dry. Gonna keep it that way.
