Question 2010 dodge ram starting itself

hi,

I have a 2010 dodge ram and the keyless start is starting by itself. It turns its self on then right back off, it does it 3 to 5 times then if I open the door the alarm starts going crazy. any idea whats going on?

Heathernbeto,

How often does this happen? Do you have the spare set of keys anywhere near by? Are you able to duplicate this concern for a diagnosis because I would recommend having this looked at by a Dodge dealer for further investigation.

haha no i havent named my truck. and weird thing it stopped doing it yesterday. it started yesterday and stopped.. idk whats going on the dodge dealer is telling me 100 bux to get it checked out just 1200 miles out of warranty

That happened to me a few times but i was doing yardwork and bending over with the fob in my jeans.

I actually thought that was causing it. So I took the fob outta the ignition and set it on the console and it started doing it all by itself.. And if I had my key inside the house as soon as I'd walk outside with it, it was starting itself. Idk that day I think my truck was possessed lol.

Could it just be a broken fob? You could try taking the batteries out of your fob and using the other one for a while.
